Ask Justice Xpress is a chat assistant built into this website. It searches the legal information published here and answers your question from what it finds, with a link to the page it drew from.
Example
How long does an uncontested divorce take in Florida?
In Florida, a simplified dissolution can be finalized as soon as 20 days after the petition is filed, provided both spouses agree on everything and meet the eligibility rules. Most uncontested divorces take a few weeks to a few months depending on the county's docket.

What it can do
Answer questions about Florida law as explained in the articles on this site
Point you to the right page, guide, or form for your situation
Explain legal terms in plain English
Describe how a court process works and what the general steps are
Tell you what a document is for and whether it fits what you described
Every answer comes from content on this site that has been reviewed against Florida statutes, not from the open internet.
What it will not do
Give you legal advice or tell you what you should do in your specific case
Answer questions about legal documents you have purchased
Answer questions about your account, orders, or payments
Predict how a judge will rule or what the outcome of your case will be
Ask one question at a time
The chat searches for the best matching page. Two questions in one message usually means it answers only one of them well.
Say what you want to know, not your whole story
Less useful: My landlord kept my deposit and I moved out in June and he says the carpet was ruined but it was already old. More useful: How many days does a Florida landlord have to return a security deposit?
Use ordinary words
You do not need legal terms. "Can I change my child support amount?" works as well as "How do I modify a support order?"
Check the source link
Each answer names the page it came from. Open it to read the full explanation and any exceptions the short answer left out.
Ask a follow-up
If the answer is too general, narrow it: "What if we have no children?" or "Does that apply in Miami-Dade?"
Your privacy
Do not type your Social Security number, bank details, or other sensitive personal information into the chat. You can ask about your situation in general terms without naming yourself or anyone else. Conversations may be reviewed to improve the assistant's answers.
When to talk to a lawyer instead
The chat can explain how Florida law generally works. It cannot weigh the facts of your case, spot a deadline you are about to miss, or tell you whether filing is a good idea. If your matter involves a contested hearing, a large amount of money, a criminal charge, immigration status, or a child's safety, speak with a licensed Florida attorney. The Florida Bar's Lawyer Referral Service and your local legal aid office are good starting points.
